Bogdan E. Buzdugan, BS
Bogdan joined the Howard Lab as a Post-Baccalaureate Research Fellow funded by the American Cancer Society as part of the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center's ICARE Program. His work focuses on redox metabolism and radioresistance in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) and glioblastoma (GBM). He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology and a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences alongside a minor in chemistry from North Park University. As an aspiring physician-scientist, his long-term interests span neurosurgery, tumor redox biology, synthetic biology, and whole-brain emulation research as he plans to apply to MD-PhD programs. During his free time, Bogdan enjoys bouldering, ice-skating, reading, and playing board games with friends.
