Jack Reynolds is an undergraduate research fellow in the Howard Lab at the University of Iowa, where he contributes to research focused on diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). His work includes cell culture maintenance, clonogenic assays, and growth curve analysis, helping investigate mechanisms that may improve therapeutic strategies for pediatric brain tumors. Jack is currently pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Iowa on a pre-medical track, with long-term goals of pursuing an MD/PhD program to combine clinical medicine with biomedical research. He hopes to become an orthopedic surgeon while continuing to integrate translational research into patient care, with a strong interest in how laboratory discoveries can translate into clinical advances that improve patient outcomes. Outside of the lab, Jack enjoys golfing, working out, spending time with family and friends, and continuing to grow both academically and professionally.
