Michelle is a clinician scientist, splitting her time between the clinic and her lab. Her clinical duties as a medical physicist include assisting her physician colleagues in providing safe and effective treatments to cancer patients, bringing in new technology to the clinic, and teaching residents. Michelle is passionate about improving long-term survival and quality of life for pediatric patients battling brain tumors. Her research aims to achieve this through investigating various chemotherapy drugs and novel radiation delivery techniques. When she is not in the lab or clinic, Michelle enjoys being a mom to her daughter Hazel, traveling to warmer climates, reading historical and science fiction novels, and watching football on Saturdays and Sundays in the fall.
